Rolf Lislevand, Gjermund Larsen

The Norwegian violinist Gjermund Larsen has made a name for himself as the leading light of a new generation of extremely virtuoso Scandinavian folk musicians. Classically trained, Larsen has forged a highly personal musical expression based on the baroque idioms of traditional Norwegian music, and has had a remarkable international career. This concert, in a solo setting, marks the first collaboration between Larsen on the baroque violin and Rolf Lislevand, one of the major lute and baroque guitar players and a many years close ally of Jordi Savall, on the lute.
