Mozart’s Theatre Universe!
As leader for the 2020 edition of the Nordic Baroque Orchestra, an orchestra uniting the crème de la crème of tomorrows instrumentalists in Europe, the truly brilliant Italian clarinet player Lorenzo Coppola has put together a program highlighting the theatrical elements of Mozart’s music. From his celebrated concert arias, to the world of his concerti for solo instruments and that of the symphony (here represented by Haydn) Coppola focuses on the dramatic aspect of Mozart’s orchestral writing, drawn from his experience as a composer of opera and theatre music. The evening features stunning Spanish fortepiano player Cristina Esclapez alongside Lorenzo Coppola and the Nordic Baroque Orchestra.
